The University in Konin, established in 1998, is an innovative and dynamic institution where young people can improve and develop their knowledge and skills.
With more than 1500 students, it is the largest university in the eastern part of Greater Poland. UAS offers courses at three independent faculties: Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Faculty of Economics and Technical Sciences and Faculty of Health Sciences. The University has established formal cooperation with more than 90 European and non-European partner universities. Each semester more than 50 foreign students visit UAS and the number grows each year.
University of Applied Sciences in Konin makes a distinction between regular students, visiting students and exchange students.
Regular students can be enrolled in a full degree program. UAS offers bachelor’s degree (BA) programs and master’s degree (MA) programs.
A bachelor’s degree takes three years of full-time study and is worth 180 higher education credits. The bachelor of engineering takes three and a half years of study and is worth 210 ECTS. Bachelor’s level education is also referred to as ‘first cycle’ or undergraduate studies.
UAS master’s degrees, also referred to as ‘second cycle’ or graduate studies, take two years or a year and a half of study amounting to 120 or 90 ECTS respectively. Regular students are required to pay tuition fees. With B1 level of Polish students get access to all study programs offered by UAS.
Visiting students, or free movers, can study on an individual basis for one semester or a year as part of a degree at their home university. Visiting students are required to pay tuition fees.
Exchange students can study at UAS within the Erasmus program for one or two semesters
The University library gives both students and teachers access to catalog of an extensive and valuable collection of printed books and periodicals as well as numerous databases of online publications.
University staff and students have access to the Internet through the Eduroam service.
